Man and woman found dead inside house in Staffordshire as cops launch murder probe
A MAN and woman have been found dead inside a house in Staffordshire as police launch a double murder probe.
The ambulance service called police out to a house in the Cannock area of Staffordshire on Tuesday.
Police entered the house in Alpine Drive, Hednesford, and found the bodies of a man and woman.
A cordon has put in place at the scene and specially trained officers are supporting the family.
A police spokesperson said: "We’ve launched a murder investigation after two bodies were discovered inside a house in Cannock.
"At about 12.30pm today (June 25), we were alerted by our colleagues at West Midlands Ambulance Service who were at an address on Alpine Drive in Hednesford.

"Sadly, the bodies of a man and a woman were found inside.
Specially-trained officers have been assigned to support their families at this tragic time.
"A cordon has been set up in the area whilst we carry out enquiries to understand the circumstances of the deaths. We’d like to ask people not to speculate whilst we do this.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a concern for welfare at house in Hednesford on Tuesday lunchtime.

"Two paramedic officers and an ambulance were sent to an address on Alpine Drive.
"After gaining access to the property at just before 12.20pm, paramedics found a man and a woman inside.
"Sadly, it was immediately obvious that nothing could be done to save them and ambulance staff immediately alerted Staffordshire police."
