But in an appearance on Loose Women today, the now 21-year-old says she no longer plans to take legal action to have the age limit raised to 18 after previously saying 16 was too young.

Jane, who says she considers herself a millionaire, added: "I said that me phoning up the lottery and saying I think 16 is too young, I think you should up your age to 18 - they were never going to be like 'ok Jane, that's great advice, we'll up our age'.

"So what I had done was, I'd only spoken to a lawyer and wanted to seek legal advice just to get my point out there.

"But because it's went so far out there I'm not even going to have to go any further because I feel like I'm being listened to now and I feel like people are actually listening to the difficulties."

Responding to a question from presenter Andrea McClean, about whether she had considered giving the money away, Jane said: "I’m not saying it’s completely unhappy because there are parts of my life which are good and there are days where I wouldn’t change anything.

"I’m just saying there is days where I am upset and it does get on top of me but in the future I do want to have a family and there is family I’ve got now so I just want to be able to provide support for them."

She was also quizzed over claims she would considering suing Camelot, Jane said she felt she no longer needed to because she had just been trying "to get my point across".

The Scot told the Loose Women she had scooped the million-pound prize while playing her first ever ticket.

"I was on my way to work and I was just like I had never played before so I thought I would chance my luck.

"I bought it on the Tuesday for the Friday and I never checked it until the Sunday.

"I didn't believe it - I kept double checking it then I ran to the shop and I was like have I won and the shopkeeper didn't know, he told me to phone them so I went home and phone the lottery.

"My mum was there in the other room. She was in disbelief – are you sure you’ve got it right? Are you going to phone and ask them that."

Jane explained the feeling of becoming an overnight millionaire as "amazing" and thought "all her dreams had come true".

She added: "I wanted so many handbags, there was a Louis Vuitton bag I wanted and was saving up for that I just bought.

"My whole family were like don’t be stupid with it. You’ve read a lot of stories about other lottery winners – I knew I didn’t want to be like them."

But what Jane says she didn't realise was how difficult it would be.

She said: "I never realised how difficult it would be. I thought it would be amazing when in actual fact at times it's just completely different to what you expect it to be like.

"So there is a part that's go and shop and having all this money and then there's times where it's just completely the opposite."

When asked why people should feel sorry for her, Jane replied: "I've had a lot of hate on Twitter and to an extent I can relate.

"Before winning the lottery I was in a similar situation where I was making ends meet and working in a normal job, so I can relate to some of them.

"But what I was trying to say was I was just trying to get my point across."

She told the  at the weekend: "I always wanted them done - I’m a lot happier and much more confident.

"I can wear proper dresses and I feel more like a woman.

"They’re up there with the best things I’ve bought."

Other things Jane has bought with her winnings include two properties, a Louis Vuitton handbag, a chihuahua and an £18,000 Range Rover.

Bosses at Camelot, who run the EuroMillions lottery, say they appointed an independent financial and legal panel to help Jane manage her winnings as well as putting her in touch with another winner who scooped a jackpot at the same age.

A Camelot spokesman said: “We have been in touch with Jane from time to time since her win to offer ongoing support.

“It is always up to the winners as to whether they want to take up that support.”
