POLICE are probing a series of six stun gun attacks in five days.
In the latest incident reported to police, a woman jogger was tasered as she fought off three men who tried to steal her car in Kings Heath.
The woman had just parked her car in Colmore Road last Thursday when the men demanded she hand over her car keys.
After she refused, she was tasered but managed to flag down a passing van driver, causing the men to flee.
Details of the incident were posted on the Kings Heath Running Club’s Facebook site, and shared with other local clubs to warn members.
“An electric Taser device was used on her during a physical struggle,” the club warned.
“She was shaken, is bruised and has seen a doctor who has assessed the burns left by the Taser.”
West Midlands Police say six people have come forward, saying they have all been attacked by a gang using a Taser.
The attacks happened at six different locations across Moseley, Kings Heath and Acocks Green. Police say they cannot be sure if they are linked.
They added that four boys – two aged 15 and two aged 16 – were arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with an Acocks Green incident.
