‘WHAT WERE THEY UP TO?’

Fifty Shades Darker usher finds CUCUMBER on cinema floor after screening of the sex scene-filled movie

Social media users were left wondering why the cinema worker had picked up the veg without gloves

A CINEMA usher was left feeling red-faced - after finding a cucumber on the floor following a screening of Fifty Shades Darker.

The Hayden Orpheum cinema in Sydeny posted a snap of the vegetable after it had shown the raunchy film as part of a student night.

They tweeted: "That awkward moment when you find a cucumber in the cinema after a Fifty Shades session..."

Social media users were divided other whether the snap was real or just a clever PR stunt to promote the cinema.

Although most agreed that whoever was holding the cucumber needed to go and wash their hands.

One user commented: "And you pick it up without gloves?"

The Oprhemum responded with: "instantly regretted that!"

When questioned by another user on their decision to hold it, the employee said they didn’t realise what it was because the “lights were still down”.

Some innocent users suggested the discovery was maybe something less disturbing than first thought.

“It’s probably innocent, some old lady making cucumber sandwiches to save money,” the cinema agreed.

It comes after Diamond Cinema, in Navan, Ireland, joked they were going to "ban" single men from the saucy sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey.

A message on their phone listing system said: "If you're looking to go to Fifty Shades Darker and you're bringing your boyfriend, you better keep lots of space between you.

"It's on an 18 cert and I must stress that single men or married men on their own, any unaccompanied males will not be allowed in."

Fans have been sent into a frenzy about the exciting new film release.

Shoppers are snapping up a Fifty Shades-inspired lingerie collection to mark the movie hitting the cinemas.

And author E.L. James has certainly made a fortune from the lucrative series.

She recently splashed £5.4million on an LA mansion, which came complete with a cinema and 'wine room'.
