Man beaten to death inside busy pub after England’s Euro 2024 game against Denmark as police investigate attack
A MAN was beaten to death in front of horrified pub drinkers after England's Euro 2024 game against Denmark.
Cops were called to the Dolphin and Anchor Wetherspoons in Chichester, West Sussex, at around 11pm on Thursday.
They found a 57-year-old who had suffered fatal head injuries after being attacked by three men.
Police said the pub was busy when the man from South Yorkshire was assaulted less than three hours after England's disappointing draw.
The attack started inside the pub, police said.
When arrived they fought to save the man giving him CPR in the street outside.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specialist officers.
Police have appealed for anyone who was in pub to come forward.
Cops said there is no suggestion the dead man knew his attackers.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "The cause of the incident remains under investigation, and we're urging anyone with information to come forward as we seek to establish the full circumstances."
A 30-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of murder and a 42-year-old man from County Durham was arrested on suspicion of affray.
Both remain in police custody.
Police launched a manhunt for a third man suspected of affray.
He has been identified and police are appealing for anybody who knows where he is to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Suzanne Joseph, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: "This incident led to the tragic death of a 57-year-old man, and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
"It happened in a busy pub in the city centre, and we're urging anyone with information to come forward as we seek to establish the exact circumstances.
