‘STAG’ FIGHT RAGE

Furious dad of Brit wedding guest in ‘Majorca stag brawl’ slams ‘lies’ & says lads were having ‘respectable celebration’

The boozy group face the possibility of returning to Majorca for a criminal trial if prosecutors decide to charge them

THE furious father of one of the wedding guests arrested in Majorca following a huge drink-fuelled brawl has claimed it is ";all lies".

David Yeoman angrily denied that his son and his pals had been on a boozy "stag" trip to the Balearic island - and said they were having "respectable wedding celebrations".

Brit groom Connor Lorimer, 29, was arrested alongside seven of his pals during his stag do after the celebration turned into a violent punch-up that left bar staff and cops injured.

However, David, dad of Samuel Yeomans, 29 who was arrested alongside the groom, insisted it was not a stag party - and the ugly brawl was a "lie".

He told The Sun: "It wasn’t a stag party. This was a respectable wedding celebration."

He even raged at the "scum" who had told "lies” about the punch-up which led to his son and his six mates spending two nights in a Spanish jail.

It was not clear whether he was referring to the Majorcan cops, who led the seven away in handcuffs, or the Spanish bar staff, several of whom ended up injured.

Shocking footage showed the stag party fighting with staff at the Balneario Illetas beach club, between Palma and Magaluf - just days before the wedding.

The group - including the groom and best man Joe Lafbery, 29 - can be seen being hauled to court in handcuffs by armed cops.

Looking embarrassed as they held their tops over their head and shuffled through the court doors, the men refused to answer any questions thrown at them as they turned up.

The brawl happened at the upmarket Balneario Illetas Beach Club, between the island’s capital Palma and the party capital Magaluf.

The bar staff claimed that things escalated after the stag party had spent a whopping £1,300 on booze.

One of them apparently told the Brits off for their chaotic behaviour when they began throwing rubbish and cans of beer into the sea, disturbing other customers.

Waiter Nacho, who got injured in the violent scuffle, said the group had an "aggressive" response to the warning and soon found himself repeatedly punched and caught in a headlock by one of the Brits.

Claiming that the group had apparently been drinking since 10am, the Spaniard described the fight as "like a battle".

He told MailOnline: "The fight started with that, the trash, because they were throwing trash into the sea, and our colleagues had gone in for a dip because they finished their work, and they told them to stop.

"Then they [the British men] start to laugh about him and insult him and some things like that.

"Finally they, the group, start to hit him. Then more colleagues go to the beach to try to stop and then they [the British group] start to hit everybody.

"I tried to stop the fight, as far as I could, it was quite difficult.

"There was the big man in the shorts he started to hit me, you can see in the video.

"He was hitting in my head, in the back of my neck."

Nacho added he was left with a nasty bruise on his shoulder after he was suddenly grabbed from behind.

But despite all the pre-wedding drama the groom was eventually able to tie the knot with Lauren, 29 under the Majorcan sun - after forking out £850 to leave custody on bail.

The couple's nuptials took place at the luxury Es Riquers Hotel and included a jazz saxophonist as well as personalised cocktail bottles with their names.

The bride joined DJ Angel Rod in a duet, even though she admitted she was "mortified" by the drama, the Mail reports.

Other guests reportedly at the wedding included reality TV star Jack Woods, 28, a semi-pro footballer and former builder who recently appeared on Channel 4’s Rise and Fall.

However, the boozy group face the possibility of returning to Majorca for a criminal trial if prosecutors decide to charge them.

A spokeswoman for the Palma courthouse told MailOnline: "The court granted bail for eight [British] men who were detained under a bond for possible civil damage caused. No date was set for them to return. This is a criminal case."

The pair who had gotten married in St Albans in April posed for pictures alongside their young son.

Sharing the photos on her social media, Lauren wrote: "Legal but not official, to be continued June 2024."

The celebration in Majorca - dubbed Wedding Part 2- by guests followed a few months later and despite the drama, it all went well.
