Horror as child is left fighting for life after being hit by motorbike in field with cops launching urgent hunt
A CHILD is fighting for their life after they were struck by a motorbike in a field, as cops launch an urgent hunt.
Cops were called to a field off Old Brickyard Lane in Napton, Warwickshire, where a village show had been taking place.
Officers found that a child, who has not been identified, had been involved in a collision with a small motorbike yesterday evening.
Police said the youngster was rushed to hospital with "life-threatening head injuries" after being struck by the bike in a field.
Napton Horse, Pony and Dog Show was held throughout the day although it is not yet clear if the incident happened at the show itself.
A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: "Earlier this evening a young child was taken to hospital with life-threatening head injuries after a collision involving a small motorbike in a field off Old Brickyard Lane in Napton.
“If you have dashcam or phone footage of it, please contact us quoting incident 275 of May 25.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident has been urged to get in touch with Warwickshire Police.
