Kempton Park crash sees man dead after horror smash with lorry while being chased by police

A MAN has died after his car collided with a lorry while he was being pursued by cops through west London.

The driver died in the crash on the A316 in Kempton Park at about 4.30am on Wednesday.

Police have confirmed the car was being pursued by police at the time of the collision after it had failed to stop.

Emergency services attended the scene, where the man was pronounced dead.

The driver's next of kin have been informed.

The lorry driver was not injured in the collision.

The Directorate of Professional Standards and  Independent Police Complaints Commission have been informed.
