POP superstar Britney Spears has urged fans to pray for her niece Maddie who is in a critical condition after a horror crash.
The eight-year-old was riding an ATV off-road vehicle when it flipped over into a pond on Sunday.
Mum Jamie Lynn and stepdad Jamie Watson watched on in horror before racing to free their daughter who was trapped underwater.
A police report into the incident confirmed she was submerged for around two minutes.
Last night, Britney posted a picture of the tragic youngster who is in a ‘critical but stable condition’ in hospital.
Along with the heart-breaking image, she wrote: “Need all the wishes and prayers for my niece."
Footage has emerged showing Maddie being given a Polaris ATV, reportedly the same model as the one involved in the crash, on her seventh birthday.
A picture posted by Watson in December showing Maddie and Jamie Lynn sitting in a vehicle believed to be the ATV has also emerged.
Maddie, who is the daughter of Britney’s sister Jamie Lynn Spears, was airlifted to hospital after being freed from the crashed vehicle.

Britney's father Jamie Spears has asked people to pray for his granddaughter after the terrifying accident.
Confirming to ET that Maddie is in “extremely serious condition”, the distraught grandfather said: “All I can say is pray for our baby Maddie.”
Full details of what happened have not been revealed, but Jamie Lynn, 25, released a statement warning fans that some reports have been incorrect.
It reads: “The details the media are reporting surrounding the incident regarding Jamie Lynn’s daughter Maddie are incorrect.
“Right now the Spears family asks that everyone respect their privacy during this time and appreciates all the prayers and support for their family.”
