But, he appears to polish off his plate, and wipe his mouth before checking his phone.

The man then peers around, picks up his Co-Op bag, and walks out of Posillipo in Borough, Canterbury - before breaking out into a jog along the street.

Restaurant manager Marian Pandos says the man took off without paying his bill - which he'd racked up to £65.

Marian has now shared CCTV of what he says in the "dine and dasher" in the act in the hopes this won't happen to other businesses.

He told : "Unfortunately these things happen. Especially at summertime, there's always going to be something going on.

"It's not about £65, but the point is I'm sure lots of us never went to a restaurant and walked away without paying.

"It's not just about us. It's also about other businesses so they can be aware and keep an eye on people."

The manager shared a photo of the man's alleged unpaid bill, which included two beers, a pornstar martin, lamb chops, fishballs and chips.

Marian said the man was aged in his 40s, and was dressed nicely in a woolen cardigan, blue jeans, white trainers and a paddy cap.

He told : "We were quite busy inside and we had a couple of tables outside. My colleague went out to look after one of the tables and the guy disappeared.

Inside the rise of 'dine and dash'

"He had a starter, main and a side dish as well as two beers and a pornstar martini - he treated himself very well."

The Sun has contacted Kent Police and Posillipo for comment.

It comes after it was revealed a "crimewave" was sweeping the UK.

Last week a serial "dine and dash" couple admitted to skipping out on restaurant bills worth more than £1,000.

Bernard McDonagh, 41, and his wife Ann McDonagh, 39, were caught on camera striking at a string of eateries across Wales.

The shameless couple, who have three children, rung up bills totalling £1,168.10 from five different restaurants.
