Woman, 49, pulled from Yorkshire river is named by cops as man, 47, ‘known to her’ charged with murder
A WOMAN found dead in a river has been named by cops - as a man "known to her" is charged with murder.
Emergency services rushed to Yorkshire's River Derwent at around 11.40pm on Wednesday.
Fire crews said they dragged two people from the waterway.
Onlookers and police were said to have quickly started CPR on the woman.
She was taken to hospital where she tragically died.
Cops have now named the woman as 49-year-old Lisa Welford from Malton.

North Yorkshire Police said they have also charged a 47-year-old Malton man, who was known to Lisa, with murder.
He is due to appear at court on April 29.
Detective Chief Inspector Shaun Page said: "Our thoughts are with Lisa's family and friends at this very sad time.
"We have charged a 47-year-old man with murder.
