Love Island star Scott Thomas slammed by driving charity for Snapchat film of him DANCING at the wheel

RECKLESS reality star Scott Thomas has been slammed by a road safety campaigners after he filmed himself dancing at the wheel of his car.

The Love Island hunk took the risky footage as his stunning girlfriend Kady McDermott was sat in the passenger seat.

The 28-year-old, who has almost one million admirers on social media, shared the ten-second clip on Snapchat, captioning it: “Date night.”

In it he can be seen dancing in the driver’s seat to American R’n’B singer Ciara’s 1, 2 Step.

A spokesman for road safety charity Brake told The Sun: “Mobile phone use behind the wheel is a growing menace. Younger drivers in particular just aren’t getting the message.

"Fiddling with your phone, whether to send a text, use an app or go online, hugely increases your chance of crashing.

"Is a Snapchat photo really worth the risk of killing someone or destroying another person’s life?”

Scott is the twin brother of Emmerdale and I’m A Celeb favourite Adam Thomas.

In November, The Sun exposed his older brother, former Corrie heartthrob Ryan Thomas, for filming his daughter singing while driving at the same time.

A national police crackdown has been launched to catch drivers who break the law by using mobiles behind the wheel ahead of plans, announced last year, by the Department of Transport, to double the punishment for using a phone while driving.

Drivers caught using handheld mobile phones will get six points on their licence and face a £200 fine. Newly qualified drivers could be made to retake their test the first time they are caught.

Brake said their research shows that around half of drivers aged between 25 and 34 are taking huge risks by texting, using apps or going online on their mobiles when they are behind the wheel.
