A shadowy figure is seen in the clip appearing to set fire to the helicopter in darkness.

The inferno is then ignited inside the multi-million-pound chopper before the saboteur flees as another one films the entire ordeal.

The GUR military intelligence directorate, which released the video, claims the alleged attack took place last night.

It said: “The destroyed aircraft was used by the aggressor state in the interests of the Moscow aviation centre, in particular, to support the operations of the Russian occupation army."

Massive flames and strong black smoke filled the area as emergency personnel worked to put out the fire.

At first, Ukrainian media speculated that the strike might have been sabotaged.

It comes after Russia's $100million missile system was blown to smithereens by Ukraine as Vladimir Putin suffered yet another battlefield embarrassment.
