FUMING residents say their town has been ruined by "scumbag" social media tourists who bring "vomiting drunks" to the area.
Whitby in North Yorkshire is famous for its towering cliffs, unspoilt beaches and award-winning fish and chips.
But locals are fed-up with "talentless" influencers wreaking havoc in the seaside town.
Writer GP Taylor slammed one visitor who allegedly blocked traffic and pedestrians while taking selfies on the seafront.
He said the influencer had a comeuppance when a seagull went to the toilet on her head.
Taylor told the : "Social media influencers are talentless scumbags.

"All they do is set up shots which are not real and lie into their cameras.
"They attract the wrong sort of person - drunks who vomit in the street and think they can behave how they want."
Whitby was first swamped with social media tourists during the pandemic, when the staycation market boomed.
Bloggers who hailed the town as a hidden gem were slammed by residents for attracting carefree revellers.

The new tourists have allegedly strewn Whitby with litter and sparked anti-social behaviour problems, locals claimed.
Taylor said that influencers plague Whitby during the town's Goth Week.
He blasted tourists who allegedly "perv on" Yorkshire women dressed in "excitable" Goth costumes at the event.
The children's author is now calling for influencers to be banned from visiting Whitby.
He said: "Whitby is beautiful on its own and does not need them.
"Influencers do the Yorkshire Coast no good at all and should be discouraged from coming."
Whitby is far from the only seaside town to have problems with influencers.
One man filmed himself walking along a nudist beach in Cornwall saying: "D***s everywhere - little one here, little one there".
It comes as residents in a seaside town branded the "worst place on earth" have hit back and said how lucky they feel to live there.
