Kim Jong-un’s grandfather became obese after eating DOG MEAT twice a day in the belief it would keep him virile, CIA files claim
TUBBY tyrant Kim Jong-un's granddad dined on dog meat at least twice a day and became obese, bombshell new CIA documents reveal.
Former North Korean supreme leader Kim Il-sung stuffed his face with dog meat dishes, demanding his 'favourite food' for breakfast and with evening meals.
The so-called 'Eternal President' of The Democratic People's Republic was so keen on scoffing pooches his diet drove him to "obesity", the shock report has claimed.
The document, which emerged as part of the CIA's dump of declassified files, states: “Kim preferred all kinds of meats to other foods and ate fish and vegetables only rarely. A basic item of each meal was rice mixed with Indian millet.
“His favourite food, however, was dog meat stuffed with chicken, which he demanded every day at both the morning and evening meals.
“It was rumoured in Pyongyang that his fondness for this dish was responsible for his growing obesity.”
The dog-loving despot ruled for 46 years until his death in 1994 and was also reportedly a whizz in the kitchen.
The document, from May 1951, adds: “Kim’s relations with his staff were good, and he would occasionally step into the kitchen to discuss the method of cooking some dish or to demonstrate it, for cooking was his hobby.”
The files also say that the then leader shunned fish and vegetables and that each of his meals was served with rice mixed with Indian millet.

Dog meat is a national delicacy and is hailed as an effective aphrodisiac as it "maintains virility", the CIA said.
Last year Kim Jong-un recommended chowing down on the 'delicacy' to his subjects, praising the meat for it's "stamina" building quality.
He advised fellow countrymen to beat, flay and scorch the dogs to them tastier.
The "vitamin rich" meat has also been recommended to the millions of the nation's poor, advertising it's alleged medical properties.
In the neighbouring South Korea man animal activists have protested the practice of dog butchery.
The CIA's report was written in 1951 during the Korean War which saw the death of more than 2.5 million people.
The North Korean revolutionary rose to power after Japanese forces were ousted in 1945 and went on to authorise the invasion of US-all South Korea in 1950.
It was under Kim Il-Sung's leadership that North Korea, which had close USSR ties, became a communist state.
