Let’s hope the Cass Report is the end of making kids swap gender… now just wait for all the court cases
Already some of those who transitioned have sued because of the absence of proper counselling
WE may be about to see the end of that terrible, poisonous and damaging obsession of ours – sending kids to gender identity clinics so that they can “transition”.
Quite how we got to a point where doctors were happy to effectively experiment on children with powerful drugs is beyond me.

I DO know that it was politically motivated — a belief of those on the terminally deranged Left that people, even children, can be anything they say they want to be.
And that if they want to change sex, good for them. Nothing wrong with that!
I know that some misguided people in the NHS even thought they were doing the right thing.
But it was a wicked delusion. And soon we’ll be seeing the court cases, believe me.

A report by paediatric consultant Dr Hilary Cass into this transitioning craze has made 32 recommendations.
It effectively means the end of gender identity clinics for children.
No more puberty blockers should be available to anybody under 18 years old.
Dr Cass also recommends that people under the age of 25 should not be “hurried” down the route of changing gender, as they are now.

She found that giving children puberty blockers did not “buy time” for youngsters to make their mind up about transitioning.
She also suggested that the whole transitioning industry had been “built on shaky foundations”.

And added that kids who say they wish to transition should be screened for a whole bunch of other mental disorders, including autism.
It is known that those children who express a wish to transition are sometimes afflicted by serious mental conditions, not least depression and anxiety.
Corrosive division
The number of children receiving drugs or surgical interventions in order to change gender has risen more than one hundred fold since 2009.
The current rate is about 5,000 kids per year.
Very often they have been hurried down this route by social workers or schoolteachers.
Or, in some especially worrying cases, their own parents.
Yet there is plenty of evidence that a wish to change gender is more often than not a case of “contagion”.
In other words, it has become for many the fashionable thing to do.
And in schools where one child transitions, many follow in their footsteps.
And so we have schools effectively transitioning youngsters, often without the parents’ consent.
Meanwhile, the puberty blockers given to pre-adolescent children can have devastating effects.
They may not — as was promised — be reversible.
The Mayo Clinic reported that they could lead to “withered testicles, fertility problems and even cancer”.
Those children, and society in general, will be paying the price of this maniacal devotion to a corrupt ideology for decades to come.
Already some of those who transitioned have sued because of the absence of proper counselling.
Identity politics is a vile thing. It always sows a corrosive division between us.
Between black and white, between gay and straight, between those who are “trans” and those who are not.
It creates a hierarchy of victimhoods. It causes bitterness and spite, wherever it raises its head.
But nowhere has it been more criminally damaging than with regard to the way in which we treat our children.
Mercifully, thanks to Dr Cass, the nightmare might be at an end.

Scarcely a day goes by without me sending a snap of my old Pokemaster, as I call him, to loads of different people. Whether they want the photos or not.

But I am not a Conservative MP, like William is. Or was – because he’s now given up the Tory whip.
Not because of the pics, but because he was blackmailed.
And provided his blackmailer with personal contact details for some of his colleagues.
And so the question is this: How truly f***ing stupid do you have to be to do that, as a sitting MP?
Are you really so dim that you don’t realise your actions will very quickly come to light?
And you’ll lose your job and be disgraced.
Is it possible to be thicker than this?
Wragg is portraying himself as a “victim”.
The only thing you are a victim of, Wragg, is having an IQ so small it is measurable only by the Titan Krios, a cryogenic transmission electron microscope.
There are jobs for people this dense.
But surely being an MP isn’t one of them.
REFORM SYSTEM
THE Reform Party is at its highest-ever level in the polls. Richard Tice’s outfit are at 14 per cent.
The scandal, though, is that if they polled at that level in a General Election, they wouldn’t get a single seat.
Just like Ukip before them, and the Greens, they are discriminated against by a flawed system.
One which allows us to choose between two unacceptable outcomes at a General Election – a Tory government or a Labour government.

FARMERS are warning that crops might fail this year on account of the endless rain.
Not sure I care. I’m so utterly bored with this weather I’ve given up eating.

Day after day, a deluge. Maybe the farmers should switch to rice.
It’s rained so much it’s almost biblical.

THAT shiny-faced ball of smugness, David Cameron, has been meeting Donald Trump.
I’d be surprised if Trump knew who the hell he was, frankly.

Anyway, our Foreign Secretary is there to try to persuade Trump that Ukraine deserves more support.
The Republicans in the US are going cold on the whole thing. Trouble is, it’s hard to blame them.
They look across at Europe and see a whole bunch of so-called allies who don’t pull their weight in Nato.
And in any case, hate everything about Donald Trump.
Get crawling, Cameron. On your knees.
Pledge more money for our Armed Forces. We need Trump onside.
I’M LOOPY FOR RYAN
I’VE spent the past 24 hours watching a continual loop of Ryan Longman scoring the winning goal for Millwall against Leicester on Tuesday.
Absolute beaut, it was.

Ryan cut in from the left, teased a couple of defenders, feinted and then – wallop!
Straight into the top right corner from about 30 yards.
And this is the great thing about supporting Millwall. And clubs like Millwall.
If you support Arsenal or Liverpool, you see stuff like that every other week.
All it does is provoke a momentary smile.
We see stuff like that roughly every 15 years, though.
And so it counts, it matters, and is a cause for enormous rejoicing.
Ryan, you’re already a “ledge”.
GLASGOW Labour councillor Audrey Dempsey reported a number of incidents of apparent racist attacks in her ward and beyond.
What do you think happened? The council told her to shut up. And Labour suspended her from the party.
Why? Because Audrey was warning about racist attacks on WHITE people.
No such thing, everybody else agreed. Can’t be happening. Only white people take part in racist attacks.
They said pretty much the same over the child grooming scandals in Rotherham, didn’t they? And two decades later it all came out.
