Family pay heartbreaking tribute to mum, 52, killed in hit-and-run as she walked on M6 slip road – as man, 47, arrested
THE GRIEVING family of a "loving" gran-to-be has paid tribute after she was killed in a horror hit-and-run.
Lisa Kelsall, 52, died when she was hit by a van while walking on an M6 slip road in Cheshire at 12.15am on Tuesday.
The driver of the van, a 47-year-old man from Preston, failed to stop at the scene - but was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
In a statement Lisa's family said: "A Loving daughter, mother and grandmother to be, taken too soon.
"RIP Lisa Kelsall. Forever in our hearts."
Officers are now appealing to anyone who may have seen saw Lisa's car, a white Vauxhall Mokka before the crash.
They believe she had been traveling northbound on the M6 from Staffordshire toward Cheshire prior to the incident between 11.30pm on Monday 8 April and midnight of Tuesday 9 April.
