Angela Rayner and Keir Starmer MUST give a straight answer on her tax row, Rishi Sunak says
ANGELA Rayner and Sir Keir Starmer must give a "straight" answer about her tax affairs, Rishi Sunak has demanded.
The Prime Minister slammed Sir Keir and his deputy for being tight-lipped about the debacle and dodging fair questions.
Ms Rayner is under scrutiny over claims she may have wrongly avoided capital gains tax on the 2015 sale of her home
Separately, Greater Manchester police is reviewing a decision not to investigate a complaint that she registered the wrong property on the electoral roll, with an update expected this week.
Ms Rayner denies any wrongdoing and has the backing of Sir Keir, who earlier this week insisted "nobody is interested" in claims his deputy dodged capital gains tax.
He also said it would be inappropriate to see the legal advice she says exonerates her.

Speaking to LBC this morning, the PM said: "Keir Starmer still hasn't answered any questions properly about what's going on with Angela, Rayner.
"When it comes to me or my affairs, people are very happy to ask lots of questions, including Angela Rayner herself."
He added: "This is someone who as far as you believe the media assumes he's going to stroll into 10 Downing Street late this year.
"And this is the person who'd be Deputy Leader, Deputy Prime Minister of the country and I think there are very clear questions for her to answer about this.
"He hasn't answered them. She hasn't answered them. I think it's reasonable that people get a straight answer on it."
A recent poll by More in Common found 67 per cent of people think Ms Rayner should make her tax advice public, with only 14 per cent saying she should not.
Luke Tryl, of survey organisers More in Common, told the Daily Mail: "Our focus groups consistently find that Angela Rayner is one of few politicians who the public thinks speaks for people like them.
"But her popularity is rooted in the fact that people think she's authentic and tells it like it is.
"By refusing to release her tax advice she risks unnecessarily undermining her reputation for straight talking and appearing just like other politicians who say one thing and do another."
