Donald Trump and David Cameron talked Brexit as they dined at luxury resort Mar-a-Lago
DONALD Trump and David Cameron dined at Mar-a-Lago on Monday night - with Brexit on the menu.
The ex-US President and Republican hopeful hosted the Foreign Secretary at his luxury Palm Beach resort – but both sides agreed not to put out photos.
Lord Cameron, who spearheaded efforts to keep Britain in the UK, discussed “policy matters specific to Brexit” with the Don, who was a big Leave backer.
With Mr Trump calling for European powers to do more to fund Nato, they talked about defence spending going up and “ending the killing in Ukraine.”
Mr Trump’s spokesman said they “also discussed their mutual admiration for the late Queen Elizabeth II.”
Meanwhile the Foreign Office was far more tight lipped, saying only that it was a “productive meeting” that highlighted the “breadth and strength” of the U.K.-U.S. relationship.
