A post on an employee's Linkedin profile revealed that the company is definitely working on a virtual assistant for the new S8 devices, according to .

A Principal Program Manager at the firm claimed to be "driving the delivery and execution for Samsung's upcoming AI (Artifical Intelligence) assistant on the Galaxy S8".

It means users will be able to speak to their phones to get it to do tasks for them similarly to the iPhone.

The news comes as pictures of the wider-screened smartphones were published by .

The phone will larger than the S7 and come in two models, with 5.8- and 6.2-inch QHD Super AMOLED screens.

It's infinity screens will be absent of a home button.

There has been much debate about the S8 release date, following a rough start to the year for the South Korean manufacturer.

Samsung usually launches releases at annual tech conference Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but it's believed to have pushed the date back to the end of March or early April.
