Screeching and swooping birds appear to invade and attack in an extraordinary feathered frenzy
THIS is the nightmarish moment a massive swarm of crows begin invading a busy motorway.
In scenes straight from the Hitchcock horror movie The Birds, dashcam footage shows a huge flock soaring in the dark grey sky.
Spooky screeching and the fluttering of wings can be heard as the birds begin thronging around the highway in Houston, in the US.
First there are just a several hundred.
But suddenly there are thousands and the sky turns black.
Some almost dive down onto the cars.
Drivers are seen slamming their brakes on as they try to avoid birds smashing through their windscreens.
Some of the invading blackbirds perch on the central reservation while others fearlessly land in the middle of the road.

In the film, thousands of birds terrorised the small town of Bodega Bay in California, laying siege and savagely attacking its citizens.
