BOOZED-out revellers donned fancy dress as they welcomed in the Bank Holiday at the Otley Run.

Hundreds swarmed Leeds on Saturday as the infamous tipple mission got underway beneath blue skies and sunshine.

One group of girls were spotted sporting striped sailor's hats for the West Yorkshire drinkathon.

While a pack of lads bowled in wearing full cricket gear and sunblock on their cheeks as they got into their Bank Holiday bonanza.

The two-and-a-half mile pub crawl winds its way through a vomit-inducing 17 venues down Otley Road.

Punters typically knock back a drink in each establishment, with most totally legless halfway into the challenge.

Participants begin at Woodies before swilling snifters at 15 other watering holes during the challenge, which takes place several times a year.

Drinkers sup a final brew at the aptly named Dry Dock - a narrow boat-turned-pub.

Three fellas were seen parading around in nuns outfits as they took to Leeds for an unholy amount of drinking on Saturday.

Cheerleaders, aliens and super villains alike were also spotted in the unruly crowds as much of the UK basked in sunshine and blue skies.

Leeds enjoyed 12C today as the mercury bubbled across Britain following torrential wind and rain ushered in by Storm Nelson on Thursday.

But it was at Heathrow where locals got their sizzle on, enjoying a glorious 15C.

After a spell of wet and windy weather, conditions have settled for the Easter weekend.

The warm climes saw thousands of sunseekers hit the beaches today, with kids spotted playing in the sand at St Anne's on the Sea, Lancashire.

Meanwhile one young girl rode a donkey on their first day back at work on Blackpool beach.

Avon Beach at Christchurch in Dorset was also rammed on Saturday morning.

Through this evening and overnight showers will ease for Northern Ireland and Scotland.

But further showery rain will be pushing into western parts.

Elsewhere, clearer spells with mist, fog and low cloud forming, especially for eastern areas.

Sunday will be dry with sunny spells, though turning cloudier across the central and eastern England with patchy rain possible and low cloud for eastern coasts.

Showery rain will affect Cornwall later on Sunday.
