Amir Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom claims she wasn’t even INVITED to boxing champ’s brother’s wedding – after he claims to be ‘bitterly disappointed’ they didn’t show
AMIR Khan’s wife has claimed that she and her daughter were never invited to his brother’s wedding party, as the explosive family feud continues to deepen.
The boxer did not attend his brother Haroon’s celebration on Saturday, and as a result was criticised for having missed an opportunity to heal the growing rift between the star and his Bolton-based family.
However his wife Faryal Makhdoom has hit out on Snapchat before quickly deleting a series of explosive posts which emerged after Haroon claimed it was a “bitter disappointment” that his brother Amir was not able to make the bash.
She wrote: “Everyone’s been asking why I didn’t attend Amir’s brother’s wedding. I kept quiet.
“But the truth is AMIR’S wife and child were not invited. Or even included in the celebrations.
“They could have at least tried.”
The posts were deleted moments later.
Speaking today, Haroon said: “It’s a pity he couldn’t be there and he didn’t even send me a message of congratulations. [I’m] bitterly disappointed but I’ll get over it.
“He should have done and it’s very upsetting.”
However Haroon also sniped at Faryal while making the comments, saying that the family are “saddened by what his Faryal has been saying but we tried to forget about the negatives at the weekend”.
He added that she “is a one off and lives by her own set of rules.”
Haroon has previously made jibes about Faryal on social media.
In the series of deleted Snapchat posts last night, Faryal also continued to make allegations she made yesterday on This Morning.
During the appearance, she claimed that a sex tape of Amir which emerged last week must have been leaked by “someone close” to the family “out of revenge”.
She speculated on the ITV chat show that this could be either by a member of the family, or a previous member of Khan’s boxing team who have been sacked.
Amir’s dad has since denied that the leak could have come from a sacked member of the boxer’s team.
In one deleted Snapchat, Faryal said: “I actually stuck up for Amir’s father being a good person, saying it’s probably not a family member but most likely an ex employee.
“And he’s still not happy? How disturbing man. I can’t never win with these people.
“I give up.”
She then added in another Snapchat post: “I’m sure Amir’s dad was on the phone to his son a few days ago saying it can only be ‘someone close’ and mentioned 3 employees names.
“Now denying it, to make me look silly?
“Not cool.”
Faryal reiterated why she felt the sex tape, which shows Amir Khan performing a sex act on himself while in a Skype call with a model, may have been leaked by “someone close”.
She posted: “Why else would something from soooo many years ago come out now?
“After all this drama? I could’ve been a b**** and said it was Amir’s dad behind all this since he’s said 100x his son’s divorcing me.
“But I didn’t.”
After the posts were deleted in the early hours, just moments after they were posted, fans of the model reacted on social media.
Yesterday, when the couple appeared on This Morning together, they vowed to stand by one another through turbulent times – and both insisted the sex tape was made BEFORE they married.
Khan, speaking alongside his wife in San Francisco, said: “I love my wife, and I love my family. The marriage is brilliant, it’s going really well.
“Everything is fine between with us.”
When asked about the sex tape, Khan said: “It is something that happened a long long time ago. This was well before my marriage.
“It’s come out now. It’s trying to put me down.”
Khan said that he regretted the video leaking out because he is a role model for children and that the negative stories around his personal life are undermining his charity work.
Faryal added: “All those divorce rumours and what is being said in the media is not true. [We] just want to show that our marriage is fine and we are doing quite well.”
She added: “It’s just the past that’s coming back to try and bring us down.
“But our focus is now the next fight.”
