IMMIGRANTS promoting extremism risk being thrown out of Britain, The Sun can reveal.

Ministers are looking at whether they can revoke the visas of foreigners who fall foul of the government’s anti-radicalism drive.

It comes after the definition of extremism was tightened this month following an increase in Islamist and far-right thuggery.

Yesterday the government’s social cohesion adviser Dame Sara Khan warned of the chilling impact on free speech from intimidating protests.

She recommended that rallies within 150 metres of schools should be banned following the ugly demonstrations outside one in West Yorkshire in 2021.

Batley Grammar School was hit by a wave of protests after pupils were shown a cartoon of the prophet Mohammed during a lesson.

The teacher is still in hiding after what Dame Sara called “freedom-restricting harassment” from the protesters.

She added: “The idea that people should be able to create that kind of environment outside of school is just unacceptable.”

Downing Street yesterday said her report “shines a light on how vital it is to protect our democratic processes for those who are seeking to subvert them.”

Rishi Sunak’s spokesman added: “The government takes this extremely seriously and we’ve already set out our plans to make sure that we are not interacting with or lending legitimacy to extremist groups.”
