When is the new iPad coming out? Apple fans could face a LONG release date delay
TECH experts fear Apple fans could face a VERY long wait to get their hands on the next iPad.
Industry watchers have claimed Apple's next tablet computer might be released towards the end of the year.
If this is true, it could mean fans will have to wait much longer than usual to update their gadget.
Apple's last tablet was released in March 2016, when it unveiled the 9.7-inch iPad Pro - a smaller version of the 12.9-inch device.
about the iPad release date and claimed Apple was planning to release three different iPads later this year: a a 9.7-inch iPad "with a friendly price range", a slightly larger 10.5-inch gizmo and an "upgraded" 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
"The products are still in planning, with the 9.7-inch model expected to enter mass production in the first quarter, and the other two in the second, according to sources from the related upstream supply chain," it wrote.
"However, these tablets may not be announced or even released in the ma
rket until the second half of 2017."
