A WOMAN and a man have been killed in a multi-car smash which saw seven other people injured.
The horror on a quiet street in South Yorkshire took the lives of the 85-year-old female and 75-year-old male, cops have confirmed.
Emergency services raced to a crossroads junction in Barugh Green, Barnsley, around 2pm on Saturday.
A white Suzuki and a grey Range Rover collided before multiple other vehicles became involved in the smash, say officers.
The two pensioners were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Their families are now being supported by specialist officers.

Seven more people were rushed to hospital with serious injuries - but not thought to be life-threatening.
A 65-year-old man was arrested however has since been bailed.
South Yorkshire Police is now appealing for witnesses following the tragedy.
