SHOCKING footage shows the moment a brawl erupts in Glasgow's George Square in a bizarre row over pigeons.
The violent punch-up, which was filmed by a shocked bystander and shared on social media, took place around noon yesterday.
One man is heard accusing people of "abusing animals" and "abusing pigeons" as the strange incident unfolds.
In the clip, two younger men are filmed confronting the older male who had become aggressive towards members of the public in the area, it's claimed.
One of them grabs a chair from the beer garden outside Wetherspoons pub The Counting House and threatens to hurl it at the man shouting.
He then steals a flagpole and launches it towards the man before the pair exchange blows.
But the two younger men were both sent tumbling to the floor after being punched by the other man, who then shouts: "You're abusing pigeons, you c****".
The pair then walk away from the scene, leaving bystanders stunned.
Members of the public flocked to social media to react to the incident, with many raising concerns over the safety of the city.
One person wrote: "Disgusting behaviour, it’s people like that giving our city a bad name."
