Amir Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom blames ‘someone close to couple’ for deliberately leaking boxer’s sex tape – following family feud

AMIR Khan's wife Faryal Makhdoom has sensationally claimed that someone "close" to the couple leaked the sex tape of the boxer out of "revenge" as the couple appeared on This Morning today.

Mrs Makhdoom is standing by her man despite the video, which shows Khan performing a sex act on himself while in conversation with a female model on Skype.

Since the footage was posted online, Faryal has been on a social media offensive, sharing Snapchats with fans of their family life.

And today the couple appeared on This Morning together, vowing to stand by one another through turbulent times - and both insisted the tape was made BEFORE they married.

Khan, speaking alongside his wife in San Francisco, said: "I love my wife, and I love my family. The marriage is brilliant, it's going really well.

"Everything is fine between with us."

When asked about the sex tape, Khan said: "It is something that happened a long long time ago. This was well before my marriage.

"It's come out now. It's trying to put me down."

Khan said that he regretted the video leaking out because he is a role model for children and that the negative stories around his personal life are undermining his charity work.

Faryal added: "All those divorce rumours and what is being said in the media is not true. [We] just want to show that our marriage is fine and we are doing quite well."

She added: "It's just the past that's coming back to try and bring us down.

"But our focus is now the next fight."

However, while the couple used the appearance on the ITV chat show to discuss the strength of their marriage, Faryal also speculated that someone "close" to them could have leaked the sex tape amid a long-running spat between her and Khan's family.

She said: "I feel like someone’s done it out of revenge. It's not necessarily a family member, we were not together when this happened.

"Amir has fired a lot of people who worked from the company so it could be a worker."

It was initially claimed that the sex tape was made just weeks after their wedding in 2013, but Khan denies this.

The woman in the footage is believed to have been from Arizona, in the USA, and first had a fling with Amir in 2010.

Addressing the family spat, Khan said: "It makes it very hard for me, I'm right in the middle of it.

"I speak to my parents now and then, things are getting better.

"I am the oldest son who goes out there, goes into the ring, fights for a better life for all of us. We can all live like a happy family."

Yesterday it was claimed that Khan missed a chance to heal the family feud when he did not attend his brother’s wedding.

The ex-world champion’s brother Haroon married Arifa in front of 1,000 guests in Bolton.

Amir and Haroon, 25, have had a frosty relationship after Amir’s wife Faryal accused their ­sisters of bullying her.

Faryal has recently said that she regretted some of her outbursts, but claimed that Khan's family have at times made it difficult for her to stay calm.

She added: "They have been so unkind. I was in Pakistan with Amir's family when his brother tweeted: 'Michael Jackson isn't dead. He lives with us.' He was trying to say I'd had plastic surgery.

"I was pregnant with our daughter, who's now two, at the time. Can you imagine what it was like being in the same house with him when he was saying that?"

Faryal also claims that the family dislike her because she is independent.

"Every single one of them is married to a cousin or a relative," she added.

"Amir's sister [Tabinda] is married to a relative from the village. Amir's brother's [Haroon] marriage was arranged with a relative from the same village.

"But Amir picked me because he fell in love with me.

"I was the first outsider, and asking me to marry him was the first big decision he made for himself. I think there was jealousy. He sent me so many gifts."
