Police appeal over mystery disappearance of mum and son missing from North Wales for a week
Ellen Jones and her eight-year-old son have not been seen since last week as police continue to search for them
A MUM and her son have been missing from their North Wales home for more than a week.
Police have appealed for help in finding the pair after family members reported them missing.
It is thought that since they left home in the Menai Bridge area of North Wales, Ellen Jones and her son may have gone to the Liverpool area.
Police are now concerned for Ellen and eight-year-old Lewis Rhys after they have not been seen since January 17.
The 36-year-old was last seen wearing black trousers and a cream coloured cardigan. She is about 5ft4ins tall with dark brown shoulder-length hair.
Her son Lewis is about 4ft tall with short mousey coloured hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing dark trousers and a dark long-sleeved t-shirt.
It is thought they may be using a gold coloured Citroen Zara, registration Ys52 VtV.
Temporary Inspector Andrew Gibson said: “Police enquiries are underway to trace Ellen and Rhys and we are also in contact with nearby police forces.
“We are appealing to anybody who may know of their whereabouts to contact us immediately. Equally we are also appealing direct to Ellen to contact us to let us know that both her and Lewis are safe and well.”
Anybody who may have seen them, or who may know the whereabouts of their vehicle is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101, quoting reference number V009157.
