The award-winning hip hop band released a statement confirming the tragedy.

“We are able to confirm the death of a person occurred today at the filming of a Bliss n Eso music clip,” it read.

“The band were (sic) not on site at the time.

“The video production crew and our team are currently working with the police in their investigation and we are unable to provide further comment at this time.”

Detective Inspector Tom Armitt said filming was “occurring in the premises ... in relation to filming a music video” when the man was killed in what he called an “accidental” shooting.

“Several firearms were discharged during the scene by several actors,” he said.

“As a result of those firearms one of the actors has received wounds to the chest and subsequently died from his injuries.

“We don’t know how these injuries occurred.”

“We have scientific officers present, members of the ballistics unit present and they’ll process the crime scene for a number of hours yet.”

Inspector Armitt said the film crew “actively performed CPR on the person” before paramedics reached the scene.

“(We have) 100 per cent support from the film crew and production company at this time in helping with investigations,” he said.
