People from all over America, many wearing hats emblazoned with his election slogan “Make America Great Again”, made the journey to the federal capital.

But the weather has not been kind to those who turned out.

Freezing rain bucketed down over the city today, drenching those who packed the streets.

The National Park Service announced it was easing its "no umbrella" policy, allowing collapsible umbrellas along the parade route and on the National Mall.

People were pictured wearing waterproof ponchos and huddling under brollies as they tried to stay dry while they awaited their hero’s arrival.

Trump will address hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Washington and millions watching around the world in his first Presidential speech today.

With the weather showing no sign of letting up, it seems his famous hair will be put to the test.
