Donald Trump Jnr says his dad is cool and calm ahead of his inauguration as 45th US President
DONALD Trump’s son has said his dad isn’t nervous about becoming President today.
The Republican will be sworn into office today in a huge event in Washington DC that will be attended by thousands of people.
But Donald Trump Jnr says his father won’t be fazed by the occasion.
Speaking to Good Morning America over the phone today, he said: “He's not a guy who gets nervous all that easy.
“He's one of those rare types that can harness that energy and usually turn it into a positive.
“I see him usually do better under pressure than any other way.”
He added that his dad was “amazed and thrilled that the American people have entrusted him to take this country in a different direction”.
The President-elect took to Twitter today to declare "the work begins" as hundreds of thousands of people poured into Washington DC for his inauguration.
He wrote: "It all begins today! I will see you at 11:00 A.M. for the swearing-in. THE MOVEMENT CONTINUES - THE WORK BEGINS!"
