The Grade II-listed church, with 3ft-thick walls, was built in 1861 and converted between 1998 and 2000 into a stunning four-storey, four-bedroom house.

It is one of the capital’s most unique and striking properties and located on a quiet residential road and less than 25 minutes drive from Marble Arch & the West End.

There is a roof terrace and off-street parking for two cars.

Its current owner Mr Rubinow told : "Refurbishing the property was tough going and we spent way more than we had budgeted for.

"We really enjoyed living in the tower, it's like nothing else. Once you're inside, it's so quiet you forget you're in London."

";One interesting fact is that it was owned by the Queen - and I have the paperwork to prove it."

The estate agent’s description says “The property works for many types of accommodation requirements and would be perfect for those wanting to work from home, for entertainment and even for a family.

“The combination of masses of original features combined with a high quality contemporary specification throughout provides for the most discerning tastes and requirements.”
