THE Sun last night turned the tables on the Germans who dubbed our great nation "Little Britain".

In a remake of one of our most famous front pages we ask: "Would the last country to leave EU please turn out the lights".

And to drum the message home, Sun man Patrick Gysin went to the German Embassy in central London to deliver a personalised front page.

A host of newspapers across Europe mocked the UK and Theresa May following her Brexit speech.

They included German paper Die Welt, which showed Mrs May along with the logo of  BBC comedy Little Britain.

The PM revealed on Tuesday the UK will quit the single market but warned European leaders against punishing Britain, threatening "no deal is better than a bad deal for Britain".
