Tragic Shay Kang, 10, ‘murdered’ at Rowley Regis home is seen playing at school in heartbreaking pic
A 10-YEAR-OLD was pictured beaming while playing at school before she was allegedly murdered at home.
Tragic Shay Kang suffered critical injuries at home in Rowley Regis, West Midlands, yesterday.
Despite medics' best efforts, "nothing could be done to save" Shay and cops launched a murder probe.
A 33-year-old woman, understood by police to be known to the girl, was arrested and taken into custody for questioning on suspicion of murder.
Shay attended nearby Brickhouse Primary School.
A photo released this afternoon by cops shows the young girl smiling and playing in the school's yard.

In a statement, the school said: “Our school is deeply saddened by the tragic death of one of our children.
“Shay was a bright, happy, fun-loving child who was well-liked by all, and she will be very sadly missed by everyone.
“School is the heart of the community and we have already begun working with our children and staff to support them following this devastating news.
Flowers, notes, cards and toys were today placed at the entrance to Robin Close, where the girl was found "with injuries" at about 12.10pm.

And pals of the young girl and their parents joined together by releasing balloons in her memory.
Notes at the scene called young Shay a "princess" and said she'd be missed by so many.
One card read: "Shay. You will be so missed by everyone. Rest easy princess."
Another read: "I will miss you Shay, so much."
Others said "RIP, gone too soon";, and "we will miss you".
People living in the area have now told of their shock over the tragic news.
One neighbour, who refused to give their name, said: "You just don't think anything like this is going to happen on your doorstep.
"It's just absolutely heartbreaking what has happened."
Another said: "She was a happy little girl.
"She used to play with other children on a mattress or a settee. It's absolutely awful news that she has died."
Cops raced to Robin Close around noon on Monday and made the tragic discovery.
They swarmed the scene and quickly cordoned off the house where the girl was found.
Forensic teams remained at the home this morning.
Det Insp Dan Jarratt, leading the investigation, said: "A young girl has tragically lost her life and our thoughts are with her loved ones and all those impacted by this terrible passing.
