Incredible plan for $1billion mega-yacht dubbed ‘Colossea’ that comes with its own AIRSHIP… and cheeky plea to Elon Musk
JAW-DROPPING plans for a $1billion mega-yacht that comes with its own detachable AIRSHIP have been unveiled.
Dubbed Colossea the flashy floater stuns in a presentation video flaunting its sleek design - while making a cheeky plea to multibillionaire Elon Musk.
The 699 ft-long vessel is the brainchild of Italian design studio Lazzarini and features an incredible airship that's independent from the main yacht structure.
The craft can launch from Colossea and set off on adventures - taking passengers on scenic aerial tours of whatever paradise they're anchored in.
When the captain decides it's time for flight, the yacht follows the procedures to unlock the electromagnetic blocks that keep the airship mounted and unhook the winches to release the airship's lift.
In a presentation video the mega-yacht can be seen in all its glory cruising along the ocean.

Onboard guests can expect to receive five-star treatment and features include a huge pool which sits on the top deck next to the helicopter launch pad.
The sprawling ship also has four floors with a lavish interior and wood panelled flooring.
But, the star of the show is the breathtaking airship, which can be seen slowly hatching from a pod on top of the vessel and becoming airborne.
The aircraft can be seen soaring alongside the ship - towing a cheeky plea for funding which reads: "Elon get in touch."
The aircraft, which boasts a 10,000 kg payload capacity, will be able to accommodate up to 24 passengers, plus ten crew members.
The yacht offers 22 guest suites and multiple pools for a total load capacity up to 44 guests and 20 crew members.
Lazzarini say: "On the Colossea yacht, the airship reimagines its iconic design with the materials and technologies of today, proposing the same measurements of the 1924's model with upgraded materials, layout and propulsion.
"The Colossea mega-yacht is an itinerant floating docking station for the detachable airship.
"Colossea is a concept design, but the estimated cost for the real construction is about $1B."
The swanky vessel pays homage to the N1 airship, later renamed Norge, that completed the first journey to the North Pole in 1926.
The Norge was a semi-rigid Italian-built airship that was also the first aircraft to fly over the polar ice cap between Europe and America.
It comes as a new 230ft superyacht is set to be built that focuses on giving guests an elegant wellness experience out at sea.
