Donald Trump waxwork statue attacked by topless FEMEN women’s rights protester during unveiling ceremony at Spanish museum
A TOPLESS activist gropes a wax work of Donald Trump at its unveiling in a Spanish museum while screaming "grab patriarchy by the balls."
Shocked snappers documenting the auspicious occasion ahead of Trump's inauguration on Friday saw the woman barge past security ropes to stage her bare-breasted protest.
Museum staff spent several minutes trying to restrain the FEMEN activist, before eventually bundling her out through a back door.
The activist group claimed responsibility for the protest on Twitter, saying: "FEMEN just grabbed Trump's statue by the balls in Madrid."
In a recording leaked last October, Trump boasted of grabbing women "by the p****".
Gonzalo Presa, head of communications at the museum, called the woman's protest "unpleasant" and said he had hoped to give a "special welcome" to Donald Trump from Madrid.
"If they want to do this they should do it directly to him. This is too easy," he told a Reuters reporter.
Makers had spent over three days creating the wax figure, paying special attention to the colour and style of Trump's signature hair, Presa said.
FEMEN, an international group which began in Ukraine, is known for using nudity in protests over women s rights.
It made headlines by targeting Russian premier Vladimir Putin several times.
In 2013 FEMEN activists were filmed running topless towards the Kremlin strongman while he appeared to look on approvingly.
More recently in November last year a protester from the group took a sledgehammer to a piece of the Berlin Wall.
