Brit tourist, 75, found dead by her husband in hotel room as couple enjoyed holiday in Mexico
A BRITISH tourist has died at a hotel in northern Mexico after her husband found her unconscious.
Emergency responders rushed to the unnamed hotel in Creel, in the state of Chihuahua, but could not save her.
The woman's husband, described locally as Irish, was reportedly the one to call for help and a translator assisted police at the scene.
The woman is 75 and her husband is 79, local media reports.
No information about a possible cause of death has been made public and a post-mortem will soon take place, reports say.
The small mountain town of Creel - located some 175km, or a 3.5-hour drive to the southwest of the state capital Chihuahua City - is surrounded by a patchwork of rugged canyons.

It is considered the gateway to Mexico’s Copper Canyon, one of the wildest and most beautiful regions in the country.
Traditionally a logging town, tourism is now Creel's main industry.
One of the regional attractions is El Chepe train - the only train for travellers from Mexico, covering majestic landscapes across the Copper Canyon.
