THREE siblings were stabbed to death at home in a triple "murder", police said today.

Baby Mohammed, sister Joury, three, and brother Fares, seven, were discovered at their family home in Bristol on February 18.

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed today the three children all died from knife injuries.

Their mum, 42, was arrested on suspicion of murder but remains in hospital where she is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

She is yet to be taken into custody to be quizzed by officers.

The tragic discovery was made after police were called to the property following a "concern for welfare".

The Independent Office for Police Conduct has been informed as there was "prior police contact earlier this month".

A spokesperson said: "We have requested a paper referral with further information about the prior contact and once received, we will assess it to determine whether further action is required from us."

Heartbreaking video and photos emerged after the killings of Joury and Fares happily playing together.

In one poignant clip, seven-year-old Fares could be seen singing and playing a red ukulele.

He is the joined by his sister, Joury, who puts a pink fluffy hat on him and dances on the sofa.

Their mum met her husband, 41, online nine years ago while she was living in her native Sudan and he brought her to the UK.

Chief Inspector Vicks Hayward-Melen said the children have been formally identified, with an investigation ongoing.

She said: "The loss of such young children, who had their whole lives ahead of them, is truly heartbreaking and our thoughts remain with their family and everyone affected by this tragedy.

"Our specialist liaison officers will continue to provide their next of kin with any help and support they need.

“Our investigation, led by the Major Crime Investigation Team, is progressing at pace and we’re carrying out comprehensive enquiries to establish the events which led to this devastating loss of life.

";We’ll provide any further updates when we’re able to. Thank you.”
