‘Mastermind’ behind Kim Kardashian gunpoint robbery in Paris is charged along with five others
A MAN accused of masterminding a robbery in which Kim Kardashian was "tied her up and held at gunpoint” in a Paris apartment has been charged.
Prosecutors have said six more suspects have been charged in connection with the robbery in October, reports AFP.
A total of 10 have people now been charged - including five accused of a direct role in the robbery, during which Kim was bound and gagged, then robbed at gunpoint of jewellery worth some nine million euros (£8 million).
The preliminary charges filed today including armed robbery in an organised gang, kidnapping, criminal association, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, use of forged papers, and complicity.
The DNA to the 60-year-old alleged ringleader was said to have been found on material used to tie Kim up, according to sources close to the investigation.
Four people - including Kim's chauffeur's brother Gary Madar - were charged on Thursday in connection with the heist.
A gang are alleged to have entered the plush apartment on Paris’ Rue Tronchet at around 2.30am on October 3, 2016.
Dressed as police, sources say the men were unwittingly allowed into the complex by a concierge.
After handcuffing the porter, they allegedly made their way up to Kim’s flat, where she was sleeping, and broke in.
They then are said to have broke in and then two of them held a gun at the reality TV star, before also tying her hands together and then locking her in a bathroom.
In November, it was reported that Kim was being plagued with “nightmares and flashbacks” following the alleged robbery.
The mum-of-two was reportedly struggling to cope with the trauma of the Parisian crime and according to friends was having daily therapy sessions.
The stunning central apartment is located on Rue Tronchet in Paris's Madeleine district.
Kim Kardashian stayed at the residence - located behind the city's Madeleine church - before her marriage to rap star Kanye in 2014.
Chauffeur Michael Madar, 40 and his younger brother Gary, 27 were among the 17 suspects arrested in total.
The brothers work for the same limo company, who provided vehicles to the Kardashians during their visit to Paris.
The Chauffeur was later released without charge, but Gary was one of four people already charged in connection to the robbery.
