World’s tallest man Sultan Kosen meets shortest living woman & she fit in his shoe – they share unique set of challenges
THE tallest man in the world met up with the shortest living woman and their antics really put their size into perspective.
Sultan Kosen, 41, and Jyoti Amge, 30, were photographed together in California on Monday and their height difference is staggering.
Kosen, of Turkey, is the tallest man in the world at 8 feet 3 inches tall. He's one of only 10 confirmed cases in history of someone growing 8 feet or taller.
Amge, of India, is the shortest living woman in the world at just above 2 feet tall, which is smaller than the average 2-year-old.
Both Kosen and Amge earned their titles in 2011 from the Guinness World Records.
Amge's small stature is the result of achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism that caused her growth to stop at her present height.
Kosen's size is because of a tumor that caused him to develop a medical condition called pituitary gigantism.
His shocking growth spurt didn't come until he was 10 years old.
The pair first met in 2018 through an invitation by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and Tourism to visit various historic sites.
In Egypt, they toured the sites before attending a conference at the Fairmont Nile City Hotel in Cairo.
A photo shoot at the pyramids of Giza revealed what is essentially the world's largest height difference, with Amge coming up to just about Kosen's knee.
Now, , the two have reunited and the photos are stunning.
One image showed Amge standing on Kosen's lap while he sat - and she reached only the height of his collarbone.
In another picture, Amge cheekily poses next to his shoe, mirroring Kosen's one leg tucked, one leg out position, and throwing a thumbs up in the camera's direction.
He once held the record for the largest feet in the world with each foot coming in at around one foot long.
Kosen also said that he struggled to finish school as a result of his size and once signed to the Galatasaray basketball team but ended up being too tall to play.
"Regular people should not underestimate people who are small."
Where some people might shy away from the spotlight, Amge was born for it, loving the attention.
"When people see me and recognize me, they all want to take a photograph with me. Everybody stops me wherever I’m walking. That makes me feel really good," she said.
Unlike Amge, Kosen's height has not always been helpful in his life.
"It’s really difficult to find a girlfriend. They are usually scared of me," he told Guinness World Records upon being awarded his title.
"Hopefully, now that I'm famous, I'll be able to meet lots of girls. My dream is to be married."

He achieved that goal in October 2013, when he married Merve Dibo, who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and reaches around the bottom of Kosen's ribcage.
Since winning the title, Kosen has also made his on-screen debut, starring in Achieving the Impossible in 2016.
