Anti-terror cops swooped on London property today
A 51-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of funding terrorism in Syria.
Anti-terror cops swooped on a property in north-west London early this morning and made the arrest.
Officers are now searching the address while enquiries continue.
Police said: "Officers attended a residential address north-west London at 9am on Thursday, 12 January and arrested the 51-year-old woman on suspicion of funding terrorism (contrary to Section 17 of the Terrorism Act 2000).
"The woman was taken into custody at a south London police station and currently remains there.
"The arrest has been made under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act."
Police have said "the investigation is Syria related".
