Cops hunt mugger who stole victim’s beanie hat in violent attack

COPS are hunting a violent thief who stole a beanie hat during a train station mugging.
A CCTV image has been released by British Transport Police showing a man they wish to speak to in connection with the assault.
The 19-year-old victim was at Gants Hill station, east London, at about 11pm on December 30 when a man started shouting at him.
Police said: "The offender followed the victim onto the westbound platform and threatened him.
"He then pushed him against the wall and held him there.
"At this point a member of staff intervened and the offender left the scene, taking the victim’s beanie hat.

"The victim sustained bruising to his arm and head. He was taken to hospital for treatment and was later discharged."
Cops believe the man pictured could help with their investigation and have asked any other witnesses to come forward.
