Tyrant’s lies
IT has become a cliché to call Putin the new Hitler. But his two-hour TV interview makes that conclusion inescapable.
He even defended the Nazi leader, saying he was provoked by Poland into starting World War Two, like Russia was “provoked” by Nato aggression into invading Ukraine.
Both claims are laughable. Besides, Putin long ago set out his crazy excuses for butchering Ukraine.
He thinks it’s not a real country because it only dates back a century.
Plus, he wants a new Russian empire stretching across Europe.
Any justification beyond his simple lust for conquest is a lie — fodder for anti-Western conspiracy nutters.

But even if we take with a pinch of Siberian salt Putin’s threats of a new world war and boasts about “unstoppable weapons”, this much is obvious:

Such a feeble Democrat candidate could gift power back to Donald Trump this year.
But plenty who loathe Trump also fear four more years of Biden in such a febrile world.
The Democrats must move to stop him or his woeful and unpopular No2 Kamala Harris from standing.
Easier said than done if they resist . . . but vital for America and the West.
Doctors? No
ISN’T it time the Corbynite union clowns leading the junior doctors into incessant strikes were struck off by the GMC?
Their political war has inflicted immense damage on the NHS and on suffering patients.
And they seem far keener on activism than medicine.
As for their BMA members, and the crippling new five-day strike this month, we do wonder why they bother.
The Tories won’t cave to their fantasy pay claim.

But if the polls are right the Labour Government they long for will be in power soon enough.
And it will buckle in seconds.
