Rookie female cop, 24, suspended over ‘flings with married police chief & jailed drug kingpin’
A ROOKIE cop has been suspended over an alleged fling with a married police chief and a drug kingpin.
PC Caitlin Howarth was aged 21 when she allegedly had a tryst with Chief Superintendent Daniel Greenwood - 17 years her senior.
The relationship was apparently uncovered when West Yorkshire Police launched an investigation into alleged links between Howarth and a jailed heroin dealer, it is said.
Howarth, now aged 24, has been suspended from the force and was yesterday charged with misconduct in a public office over the alleged fling with the prisoner.
The student officer, who works in the Bradford district, is set to appear at York Magistrates' Court on March 7.
Chief Supt Greenwood has worked for West Yorkshire Police for almost 20 years.
