Boy, 9, dies as man arrested on suspicion of neglect after ‘unwell’ child seen walking in Brixham street
A YOUNG boy has died after he was seen walking around "unwell" with a man in the street.
The horror unfolded in Brixham, Devon, yesterday after witnesses noticed the pair just before 6.30pm.
Police were called and attended a nearby home where the nine-year-old boy was given first aid.
He was rushed to hospital but sadly couldn't be saved and was declared dead shortly after.
A 47-year-old man has now arrested on suspicion of child neglect and remains in police custody.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed the youngster's death is being treated as "unexplained".

Detective Inspector Jen Rose said: “I’m appealing to hear from for anyone who was in Drew Street, Penn Lane, Castor Road, Greenswood Road and Bolton Street between 5pm and 7pm and may have witnessed the incident.
“We believe that there were members of the public who attempted to speak to the man and child.
“I’d urge anyone who hasn’t yet spoken to police, anyone who has footage of any kind, including dashcam, mobile phone and doorbell footage to please get in touch.”
