An ambulance service spokesman said the Peugeot she was travelling in was badly damaged.

Mrs Blood is believed to have two children and police say relatives are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.

Social media shows that she worked as a team leader at Axa insurance in Gloucester until December.

The company declined to comment but devastated friends have posted tributes and messages of support on social media.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the collisions which happened on the eastbound carriageway.
