VLADIMIR Putin's top crony and security chief Dmitry Medvedev has issued a disturbing warning to the Western world.

He vowed that Russia will do everything in its power to ensure its enemies "disappear from the face of the earth forever".

The chilling statement comes as global tensions threaten to boil over - and civilians around the world are preparing themselves for the prospect of a third world war.

Speaking at a memorial event for the end to the siege of Leningrad, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council said: "Our duty is to carefully preserve the memory of the feat of the Soviet people.

"For us, this is a source of courage and perseverance in the fight against the forces of neo-fascism.

"With the support of the West, the Kiev regime is trying to challenge not only Russia, but the entire civilized world.

"We will do everything so that, like 80 years ago, our enemies disappear from the face of the earth forever."

The Russian ambassador to Britain also warned today that UK forces should abandon any hopes of going up against - or beating - Russia.

Andrei Kelin said after a Leningrad ceremony: "No one has ever been able to defeat us. This is very important.

"The fact that it was the Soviet Union that made a decisive contribution to our victory over Nazi Germany together with the allies is well preserved in the memory of many British people."

The former Russian PM was discussing the siege of Leningrad, when Germany forces blockaded the Soviet City for 900 days.

800,000 Russian people died, mostly from the extreme cold and starvation.

On January 27 1944 the blockade was broken and on Saturday Putin's puppet used it as an opportunity to send the bone-chilling warning.

It's not the first time he's issued a disturbing threat to the west.

Medvedev warned in October last year that any Brit soldiers training soldiers inside Ukraine would be legitimate targets for Russian forces and "ruthlessly destroyed".

And it's looking increasingly likely that Britain will have to get involved more and more with the war in Ukraine.

It is feared that Putin's invasion of Ukraine could see Russian troops going beyond Ukrainian borders to launch attacks on Europe, forcing NATO to join the war.

Chief of Nato's military committee Dutch Admiral Rob Bauer has called on the West to "prepare for an era of war", adding that Nato "needs a warfighting transformation".

And Britain has said it will send some 20,000 troops to one of Nato’s largest military exercises since the Cold War this week.

Focusing on Eastern Europe, the military drill will prepare for potential aggression from Russia.

And bombshell leaked documents just what a war between Putin, Nato and the West would look like.

With reports of Putin’s health deteriorating, there are also fears that he could turn to nuclear weapons out of desperation.

Ordinary Brits may even be called up to go to war with Russia because the armed forces are "too small".

General Sir Patrick Sanders, Chief of the General Staff, has stressed the need for ministers to "mobilise the nation".

Another Putin crony Sergei Lavrov days ago also warned that the west's time for "global domination" is over and that a "new world order" is on its way.

The 'real' danger of WW3 starting

WITH several ongoing world conflicts, the looming threat of nuclear warfare has sparked fears that WW3 could soon be a reality if we aren't careful.

The hypothetical Doomsday Clock was just 90 seconds away this year and if it hits midnight all hell is predicted to break loose.

The clock is a sign of Armeggedon and acts as a wake-up call for the world about global threats such as nuclear war, dangerous technologies and mass health concerns - including a potential WW3.

The threats posed by Vladimir Putin and his war with Ukraine continue, with Bulletin president and CEO Rachel Bronson saying how the horror October 7 attacks in Israel added an extra source of concern.

The Middle East has become a powder keg unsettled by Israel's ongoing war against Hamas, Iran-backed Houthi rebel attacks in the Red Sea, and recent clashes and strikes between Iran and Pakistan.

This has pushed the world closer towards the brink of WW3 as tyrants Kim Jong-un and Putin have sent a chilling warning to the West .

Warnings of a potential new world order had already been given by Putin's warmonger foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, who told the West that their time of "global domination" is over.

And veteran Russian MP Alexander Osovtsov said World War Three has already begun for the West's enemies and "we're all participating in it".

Meanwhile, Baltic states are racing to bolster defences on their borders with Russia and Belarus as Europe braces for an all-out war.

And as the prospect of nuclear weapons being developed and used and a worrying reduction in agreements alongside climate change, new genetic engineering technologies and AI, and the dangers of disinformation all come as major concerns
