Lag doing time for ‘execution’ hit moans because he’s not allowed to rent his favourite 18-rated films
Prisoners are banned from watching violent films behind bars, prompting one gangland killer write a letter of his distress
A MURDERER who took part in a cold-blooded execution has moaned “prison is hard” because he is not allowed to rent his favourite films.
Robert Bleach, 48, acted as a getaway driver when drug dealer Genson Courtney, 23, was shot in the eye in 2011.
He got 31 years for his role in the gangland hit in Greenwich, South East London, and is in Whitemoor jail, Cambs.
In a letter to lags’ magazine Inside Time, Bleach moans that prison policy bars lags from renting 18 certificate films or computer games.
He complains he cannot rent Clint Eastwood’s The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, adding: “Prison is hard and sometimes the only respite is watching a good film.”
The prisoner even boasts how his life behind bars allows him to rent a DVD player and a PS2 games system.
Drug dealer Courtney, 22, was murdered by his uncle David Pinto, 36, outside his girlfriend’s flat in Greenwich, London.
Courtney had made threats to Pinto and demanded £1,100 he said he was owed so Pinto decided to take his nephew out.
He was shot through the left eye as he was getting into his car in 2011.
