Ryanair flight lands in Manchester after passenger falls ill

A MID-AIR drama happened onboard a Ryanair flight flying from Lisbon to Manchester this afternoon after a passenger fell ill.

Flight #FR3953 landed safely following the mid-air drama.

The Boeing 737-8AS descended rapidly while on route to the third busiest airport in the UK.

A Ryanair spokesman said: “During this flight from Lisbon to Manchester a customer became ill onboard.

"The crew called ahead to request medical assistance, the aircraft landed normally and the customer was met by medics for further treatment upon arrival.”

In September a Ryanair flight declared a fault while flying over the Irish Sea.

The flight was travelling from Edinburgh to Dublin when it experienced problems before reaching Ireland.

Earlier that month another of the budget airline's flight was diverted because a passenger became ill on board.
